Empowered to alleviate the severe shortage of capital and credit available at affordable interest rates for investment in agriculture and for export of agricultural products, commodities and services by providing such capital and credit at interest rates within the financial means of persons and businesses engaged in agriculture and agricultural exports.
**SENATE BILL 823 (1) Make clarifying, conforming, and technical amendments; (2) modify environmental reporting requirements, (3) abolish obsolete and inactive councils; (4) extend by one year the time for the development of permanent rules related to water conservation pursuant to section 3 of S.L. 2002-167; (5) provide for staggered terms for the members of the Agricultural Finance Authority, to make appointments to the authority, and specify the maximum number of successive terms that members of the authority may serve and (6) prohibit the sale or dispensing of raw milk, and to provide for filling in legislative appointments in certain circumstances. |
