Purpose The Council is charged with advising the Office of the Governor, the North Carolina Film Office , the North Carolina Department of Commerce. and the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources on strategies that enhance the North Carolina film industry and support the continued growth and competitiveness of the industry. The council is made up of local officials, artists and business representatives who will help the North Carolina Film Office and the Governor grow industry investment in North Carolina. Members are responsible for advocating for the film industry and helping develop strategies to bring more projects to North Carolina.
