| Purpose | To adopt the provisions of the revised Interstate Compact for the Supervision of Adult Offenders and to provide for North Carolina to participate in the international prisoner transfer program administered by the US Department of Justice. The State Council shall act in an advisory capacity to the Secretary of Correction, who is Compact Administrator for the State of NC and NC`s Commissioner to the Interstate Compact Commission, concerning this State`s participation in Interstate Commission activities and other duties including recommendations for policy concerning the operations and procedures of the compact within this State. |
