Purpose 
The board licenses qualified persons to practice psychology and take disciplinary action when licensees are found to be practicing in violation of law and ethics. The board also ensures that non-licensed individuals do not practice psychology or represent themselves as psychologists. The psychologist members are appointed from a list of three nominees submitted by the North Carolina Psychological Association.
